PhD student receives UQ Graduate School Travel Award to present research at conference

Deborah Bowden (PhD student, Bennett Lab) was recently awarded a UQ Graduate School Travel Award to present her research at an international conference in New Zealand.

Ms Bowden attended the New Zealand Marine Sciences Society-Oceania Chondrichthyan Society joint conference in Auckland and her research presentation focussed on using morphometrics to determine the maturity status and sex of grey nurse sharks.

While in New Zealand, Ms Bowden also travelled to Wellington to measure and collect samples from small-tooth sand tiger sharks at the Te Papa Museum.
