Our 9th annual symposium will provide postgraduate students in biomedical sciences within SBMS and across UQ with an outstanding opportunity to present their research, listen to expert presentations and discuss their research with students and distinguished researchers from acclaimed international universities. The breadth and depth of this symposium is amplified through the diversity of the nine Schools, institutes and centres across UQ who join SBMS for this symposium.

Attend presentations and network with international guests from the University of Otago (NZ), Oxford University (UK), Uppsala University (Sweden), Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (Germany) and Guangzhou Institute of Biomedicine and Health (China).

There is no registration fee and the event will be catered. View the 2018 Program.

About The 2018 Postgraduate Symposium Series

The 2018 series will include two flagship events - The International Biomedical Symposium and The Clinical and Public Health Symposium – each run over two days in October and November respectively.

Open to all HDR students within UQ’s Faculty of Medicine, the events will see keynote presentations from local and international researchers and provide students with a forum to present their research, develop their presentation skills, and connect with peers.
