Formative and summative assessments

Formative assessments to support your learning for part of each module.

There will be three summative assessment points in the course held at the intensive in-person weekend sessions. Written theory paper assessment will be by multiple choice questions (MCQs), practical questions will be short answer format with specimens. Completion of all assessments are required and these will be combined for final mark. Later assessments may include material covered at any earlier points in the course.

There must be a 70% attendance at the modules plus completion of the exam for any certificate to be awarded. There will be three different types of certificate awarded, depending upon the marks achieved and attendance; a Certificate of Merit; a Pass Certificate; and a Certificate of Completion. In addition, the highest mark will receive special acknowledgement and an award of $1000.

55% or above in the summated assessments
