Researcher biography

My research interests lie in discipline-based Scholarship of Teaching and Learning where I have a consistent record of grants, publications and awards for teaching excellence.

I pursue student engagement through interactive lecturing, blended learning, scenario-based mobile learning, and student-generated learning. I am the co-president of the Australian & New Zealand Mobile Learning Group, and a member of the International Association for Mobile Learning, the Australian Physiological Society (AuPS), the Higher Education Research and Development Society of Australia (HERDSA) and the UQ School of Biomedical Sciences Innovation in Biomedical Teaching and Learning group, and am internationally recognized for my work on active learning and student-generated multimedia, and in the development of mobile learning applications in the biomedical sciences.
