Direct detectThe Direct Detect is an infrared spectrophotometer that measures amide bonds in protein chains. Biomolecules and samples are applied to cards with four PTFE membranes and the intrinsic components of the protein measured, irrespective of amino-acid composition, dye binding or redox potential.

  • Quick analysis time (~25sec per sample)
  • IR Spectral range of 7500-360cm-1
  • For protein concentrations of 0.2 to 5ug/ml
  • 2ul sample volume required
  • Cards can stored and reanalysed indefinitely
