Laura attained her PhD in 2017 from the Queensland Brain Institute, The University of Queensland, on the topic of the development of brain connections. After undertaking a short postdoctoral research fellowship funded by competitive grants from The University of Queensland and the National Health and Medical Research Council (Investigator Grant, 2020), Laura opened her lab at the The School of Biomedical Sciences, The University of Queensland (2021). In her spare time Laura loves to hike in nature, cook and discuss cuisines from all over the globe, and is determined to popularise cryptic crosswords as the ultimate tool to train cognitive flexibility.
