I completed my Bachelor of Clinical Medicine at Nanjing Medical University, and obtained my Masters of Medicine at the School of Medicine, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China. I developed my interest in glucose and fat metabolism while working in the laboratory of Cancer Metabolism in the Institute of Health Science, Chinese Academy of Science, China. I then relocated to Australia to undertake my PhD at UQ. My PhD project aims to assess the impact of altered skeletal muscle bioenergetics in motor neurone disease (MND) on the disease progression.
