Molecular regulators of synapse development and maintenance
4 September 2017 1:00pm–2:00pm
Presented by Dr Jenny Gunnersen, University of Melbourne
Hosted by Professor Elizabeth Coulson, SBMS
Dr Gunnersen’s work, funded by the NHMRC, is focused on the molecular and cellular mechanisms controlling synapse development and synapse loss in the earliest stages of Alzheimer’s disease, and how this might be slowed or prevented and synapse formation/strengthening. She also studies and how these processes contribute to the pathology of psychostimulant abuse and neuropathic pain.
