Langendorff

The IPF houses two Langendorff isolated heart perfusion systems for the assessment of acute changes in systolic and diastolic function, including drug effects on cardiac and vascular tone. Examination of acute outcomes from ischemia-reperfusion injury, including assessment of protein efflux from hearts can be performed.
