Austin joined the Neuroinflammation Lab in 2019. After graduating with First Class Honours, he started a PhD investigating the role of C5aR2 and the membrane attack complex (MAC) in neural progenitor cell proliferation during embryonic and post-natal neurogenesis. He aims to identify the extent to which terminal complement influences the formation of the mature CNS.
