I completed my undergraduate studies, Bachelor of Biomedical Science (Hons) at UQ, in 2012 as valedictorian. I am currently completing my PhD in SBMS investigating glucose metabolism in epilepsy, whilst working part-time as a Research Assistant. I am involved in many the day-to-day tasks to keep the lab running smoothly, and am currently investigating the role of growth hormones on rate of progression of MND.

Tanya joined the Neuroinflammation Lab in 2017 after completing her PhD At UQ. Her current research focus is in immunometabolism in neurodegenerative disease.
