How genes influence development and ultimately behaviour continues to challenge the biomedical sciences in the 21st century.  Our researchers take advantage of cell biology and molecular genetics techniques in model systems such as zebrafish, Xenopus and mouse to interrogate the role of genes in development and behaviour. By extending our investigations into various pathological settings such as cancer, cardiovascular disease and neurodevelopmental syndromes we are also providing insights into the progression, pathogenesis and ultimately, therapeutic treatment, of these disorders.
